About Our Curriculum

The Joyce Preschool Curriculum is written by teachers, for teachers, in an effort to establish a quality bilingual curriculum hub accessible to programs in our region and nationwide. Joyce Preschool was established in 1966 and has been offering bilingual programming since 1995. Our curriculum is developmentally and culturally appropriate for children from many linguistic backgrounds. Our staff of bilingual early childhood professionals has continued to hone our lesson plans for over 17 years, and we’re ready to bring you and your program into the conversation!

Each Joyce Preschool lesson plan is designed with a specific early childhood learning standard in mind, such as language and literacy, mathematical thinking, physical development, and the arts. Lesson plans are equipped with extension activities, complementary book recommendations, and vocabulary lists. You can select Spanish-language and English-language lesson plans to design a complete bilingual learning unit.
