Joyce Preschool’s board of directors announced Laura Tompkins as the organization’s executive director in January 2015.

Dear members of the Joyce community,

I am incredibly excited to be stepping into the role of Executive Director at this organization that has meant so much to my family. My children attended preschool here, and our lives have been enriched by the many friendships and connections that come with being part of the Joyce community.

I first came to Joyce when my daughter enrolled in 2008, and I participated as a board member and parent volunteer before joining the staff in May 2010. Since then, I have seen many changes within the organization as we moved and expanded our program. But the core mission of Joyce Preschool, the focus on our children and families, and the connections we build remain unchanged. Providing the best-quality early childhood education and family support remain at the forefront of everything we do.

I am so proud to share a place in this community of hardworking staff members, generous volunteers, and involved families who make this organization thrive. I look forward to serving as Executive Director and continuing to build on the great work that has come before, while tackling the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. I especially look forward to continuing to work with and get to know our families and students each year.
