who we are | what we do

Joyce Preschool, a nonprofit two-year preschool, provides a high-quality, two-way immersion preschool experience. Our preschool, located in the Uptown neighborhood of Minneapolis, serves about 90 students and 125 parents annually. In the 2012-13 school year, Joyce plans to open a satellite classroom at Windom Dual Immersion Elementary, increasing the number of students and families served by approximately 25.

The mission of Joyce Preschool is to provide children from diverse ethnic, linguistic and economic backgrounds with developmentaly and culturally appropriate preparation for success in school and lifelong learning.

The vision of Joyce Preschool is to become a recognized leader in offering bilingual and multicultural early childhood education, offering its model for replication to local and regional early childhood educators.

The values that guide us toward fulfillment of our mission and vision are:

• quality of educational staff as paramount
• quality of staff and staff development as key to program success
• balanced enrollment of students with Spanish/English as first language
• need-blind admission policy, with a commitment to 40 to 60% scholarship
• balanced staff with Spanish/English as first language
• strong Latino community relationships and partnerships
• collaborations and partnerships as a means of extending our reach
• maintaining and valuing the quality of the school environment

Does Joyce offer internships?
Yes! Most internships will be posted on our Careers webpage alongside our job openings.

How do I know when a position has been filled?
In a perfect world, we'd e-mail you — but it's not a perfect world. Once a position has been removed from our Careers webpage, it indicates the position has been filled or that we are no longer accepting applications for the position.
