Parent Involvement Parent Involvement is very important to JPS. Parents will be strongly encouraged to volunteer at least 2 hours a month. This can be volunteering in the classroom, cleaning, driving and chaperoning on field trips and bringing home materials to do. In addition, we have a family literacy program in which all our families participate. We feel parent involvement is extremely important to the success of the children in our program.

2005-2006 Joyce Preschool school year Families who have children currently enrolled at JPS or have had children attend JPS in the past; will be able to enroll in January. Each registration must be accompanied by a $25.00 non-refundable registration fee (families may request a fee waiver) per child to hold the spot. Classes begin in September and goes through the end of May. When both classes are full, remaining names will be picked to be put on the waiting list. Joyce Preschool strives to have an equal number of English/Spanish speakers in both classes. At least 8 children in each class need to be a native Spanish speaking child. Spots will be held open for those children. JPS also has a mission to serve all regardless of their ability to pay, therefore scholarships are always available.
Joyce Preschool Open House will be held on Feb. 17 6:00-7:30 p.m. Families that are interested in registering for the 2005-6 school year are encouraged to come and see the classroom, meet the JPS staff, and learn more about our program.
New families to the program may register for the lottery up until March 1st, when it will be held. The results of the lottery will be posted at Joyce Preschool and on this website on March 2nd. When both classes are full, remaining names will be placed on the waiting list.
